1 Peter

1 Peter 5:10-11

10 But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. 11 To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

The God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will Himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.

After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace who imparts His blessing and favor, who called you to His own eternal glory in Christ, will Himself complete, confirm, strengthen, and establish you making you what you ought to be.

1 Peter 5:9

Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.

Resist the devil, standing firm in the faith, because we know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.

Resist the devil, be firm in your faith against his attack—rooted, established, immovable, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being experienced by our brothers and sisters throughout the world.

You do not suffer alone.
