fear

Romans 8:14-17

14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. 15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” 16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.

Those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.
All who are allowing themselves to be led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.

The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again.
You have not received the spirit of slavery leading again to fear of God’s judgment.

Rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by Him we cry, “Abba, Father.”
But you have received the Spirit of adoption as children, the Spirit producing sonship by whom we joyfully cry, “Abba! Father!”

Psalm 31:19-20

19
Oh, how great is Your goodness,
Which You have laid up for those who fear You,
Which You have prepared for those who trust in You
In the presence of the sons of men!

20
You shall hide them in the secret place of Your presence
From the plots of man;
You shall keep them secretly in a pavilion
From the strife of tongues.

Abundant are the good things that God has stored up for those who fear Him.
Great is the goodness of God which He has stored up for those who reverently fear Him.

Psalm 27:1

The Lord is my light and my salvation;
Whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the strength of my life;
Of whom shall I be afraid?

God is our Light.
God is our Salvation.
We need not fear anyone.

God is the Stronghold of our life.
God is our Refuge and Fortress.
We need not be afraid of anyone.
